I have worked at Nestlé within their Infrastructure Monitoring Team specialising in SCOM 2007 and MOM 2005 monitoring tools for the Global Infrastructure.

The role centres around providing precise monitoring, by ensuring alerts raised by false positives are removed and liaising with application owners to ensure all aspects of their service and applications are monitored, also providing business intelligence reports and dashboards to the business to allow successful trending and capacity management processes to be performed.
The sheer size and scale of Nestlé’s infrastructure provides unique exposure to streamline and ensure the scalability of the monitoring platforms and ensure that the data collected for systems management is both relevant and meaningful.
